About Angela
Angela grew up as a typical American child in the 1980s. Her parents rarely fed her fast food and she was physically active, but her intake of soda and processed foods wreaked havoc on her blood glucose levels. Once she hit her teenage years, she began to have migraines and endured several hypoglycemic episodes (including fainting). She had several medical tests done but since she was thin, doctors told her she just needed to eat more.
After Angela graduated from high school, she became less active and slowly started to gain weight. After acquiring back pain and an overall sluggish feeling in her mid-20s, she decided enough was enough and began to obsessively study nutrition and try many "healthy" diets. Eventually, she took the plunge and decided to try eliminating all animal products from her diet.
Switching to a plant-based diet immediately provided her with energy, eliminated her hypoglycemia and migraines, and soon thereafter eliminated her excess weight.
